Mind Missions learning is not just hands on – it is MINDS-ON!
There is a profound difference between learning about the actions and conclusions of others and reasoning one’s way toward those conclusions. In Mind Missions, students participate in history. They may be creating a code for World War II, building a monument to welcome students, or developing signals for an explorer. In each Mind Mission, students solve problems for historical figures and experience social studies learning. Our lessons engage students at higher levels of learning and increase the likelihood that students will absorb and retain social studies content. And Mind Missions are fun! Students love to learn about history when they can experience history for themselves. |
